Sr Manager, Cloud Operations
Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across the globe. This role demands a deep understanding of Azure / AWS cloud services, security best practices, and compliance regulations within the healthcare and life sciences sectors. You'll wear multiple hats, leading your team while also leveraging your technical expertise to troubleshoot complex issues, automate processes, and optimize performance for a mission-critical cloud infrastructure.
Essential Functions
- Orchestrate the 24/7/365 operation of our LIMS platform on Microsoft Azure / AWS, encompassing hundreds of Windows and Linux VMs, virtual networks, and robust security controls.Lead cloud migration of selected LIMS products.
- Implement and enforce rigorous security policies and procedures to ensure HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant healthcare and lab compliance standards are met. ,
- Identifies risks and works with cross-functional teams to mitigate or reduce risk. Stay up-to-date
- Oversee regular system audits and proactively address any identified shortcomings.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot complex incidents, and implement root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Identify opportunities for automation, implement solutions to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and build repeatable processes.

- Facilitates the delivery of infrastructure and applications in the hosted Cloud environment.

Skills needed to be successful
- Strong ability to Work collaboratively with Development, Security, and Product teams to ensure seamless integration, continuous improvement, supportable, highly available designs, and best practices.
- Consistently stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and best practices, continuously improving our cloud infrastructure.
- Proven ability to leverage your hands-on experience with SQL, software programming, and full-stack development to actively contribute to problem-solving and optimization efforts.
- Proven successful leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure / AWS cloud services, including VM management, networking, security, and automation tools (CloudFormation , TF , ARM templates, Azure DevOps).
- Strong understanding of security best practices (CIS Controls, etc.) and compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare and life sciences (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentorship and team development.
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing and leading CloudOps teams. 10+ years of experience with hands-on with IT systems and software engineering.
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases and script automation5+ years of experience with end-to-end SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, Data Engineering, ETL, workflow automation.
Preferred Experience & Education
- Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- Familiarity with software development principles and experience with at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.)
- International experience working on a software development team

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is generally within the range of $94,300 to $134,300 for annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds with assistance as part of office routine.
