Professional Services Consultant - Remote
Purpose
As a Professional Services Consultant working with laboratories staff, you will deliver implementation and/or consulting to projects to achieve successful on-time project with client satisfaction. You will provide clients with mentorship and advice for test code build, workflow planning and drive adoption of standard methodologies and best practices for the greatest customer return on investment. You will be responsible for performing contracted onsite and remote professional services for clients.
Essential Functions
• Professional Services Consultant will support client post-sale with key stakeholders to ensure project scope aligns with contracted customer expectations;
• Professional Services Consultant will guide the client in their decision making process to achieve maximum efficiency using Clinisys best practice recommendations;
• Professional Services Consultant will conduct some product training/demonstrations for the client as part of the overall implementation process;
• Professional Services Consultant will provide input to departmental process improvements by monitoring both client and departmental processes, both internal and external;
• Travel to client sites to assess client’s current solution, provide onsite customer training or client Go-Live activities following department procedures and guidelines;
• Maintain a high level of commitment to superior customer satisfaction through the entire duration of the customer relationship;
• Resolve post go-live project issues or determine when escalation to senior staff or management is required;
• Effectively organize and prioritize project tasks to ensure timely completion of projects assigned;
• Complete other projects as assigned.
Skills needed to be successful
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage projects and priorities from start to finish;
• Strong understanding of client/ laboratory workflow concepts relative to software applications with strong knowledge of interfaces;
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to all levels of the organization;
• Ability to understand how multiple systems work together and ability to make recommendations;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Able to provide mentoring and consultation to improve workflow processes and procedures;

The starting pay range for a
candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $84,400 -
$114,400 annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be
based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience,
so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range
Required Experience & Education
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a Clinical, Environmental/Pharma or Forensic Toxicology Laboratory
• 3-5 years’ experience building laboratory test codes and laboratory workflows
• 3-5 years’ experience with SQL query writing, programing languages (PL/SQL)
• 3-5 years’ experience with API/Interfaces (HL7)
• 3-5 years’ experience with report/ad hoc query development
Preferred Experience & Education
• Bachelor of Science in either Life Sciences or Forensic Toxicology related degree
• 3-5 years’ experience with Information Systems or Clinisys applications
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a consulting or implementation environment
Physical Requirements
• Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer;
• 25-30% travel may be required;
• Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours;
• Exposure to hazardous materials or various weather conditions;
• Travel to client sites that can pose risk associated with healthcare organization;
• May be required to follow customer location health and safety requirements.
