Role Description:
The Requirements Analyst is a member of the team of software professionals responsible for the analysis, design, programming, testing and maintenance of the Clinisys software products. He/she delivers clear requirements and quality analysis, that meet the standards and expectations of the company, customers and other stakeholders. He/she has a good analytic-synthetic mind and is able to translate it into a comprehensible framework for colleagues and team members.
The Requirements Analyst possesses general Clinisys software product knowledge and is an expert in his/her domain and assigned products. Can work completely independently and is often assigned complex and mission critical problems. The Requirements Analyst is responsible for identifying and collecting the functional needs of Clinisys customers by working closely with the Product Manager and Product Owner, by attending user groups, visiting customers... Translating requirements into functional specifications is the main task and expertise, providing the development team the required input to build the required software first time right.
Responsibilities:
- Translate customers’ needs into a functional design based on the requirements provided by product management.
- Take initiative to have the requirements & functional design challenged/validated.
- Clarify the functional design to the development and test team.
- Collaborate with the product manager, product owner, sales, customer services, support, user groups and the customers themselves to fully understand the needs.
- Be proactive in building up relationships with the above stakeholders.
- Deliver according the agreed timelines, requirements and quality.
- Collaborate with the test team on test cases and scenarios that cover the functional design, by preference prior to the start of the developments.
- Collaborate with the technical authoring team so the functional specifications are included in the end user manuals and release notes.
- Translate customer needs into functional design specifications.
- Monitor and endeavour to improve the process of developing our target product(s)
- Expand your own knowledge of the product range and assist others where possible
- Be aware of the Company’s product delivery and software development plans and your responsibilities therein.
- Willing to travel in Europe occasionally
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in a software product environment
- Experience with LIS or LIMS is an advantage
- Experience with functional analysis methodologies
- Master or Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent through experience
- Background in biomedical science or medical technical lab technician is an advantage
- Master or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience
- Preferably Dutch native. Very good knowledge of English and French
