Finance Specialist

Purpose
The Finance Specialist will be involved in several aspects of billing, accounting and controlling with tasks that include assisting in the preparation of the monthly financial package and special projects. In addition you will have responsible for the integrity of the transactions in the general ledger system and process adjustments as necessary, prepare various financial reports and participate in audits. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with teams across different locations.
Essential Functions
· Assist with the monthly closing of the accounts to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
· Provide input to the external accountant for the preparation of the annual accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
· Prepare for internal and external audits by organizing and providing necessary documentation and information.
· Prepare various financial reports to support management in decision-making processes.
· Respond to ad hoc questions and requests from internal and external stakeholders.
· Monitor expenses through our expenses system (Rydoo), ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with company policies.
· Coordinate improvements to the ERP system to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
· Lead and coordinate various projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
· Record and manage bank transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
· Work closely with other departments and the team in India to ensure seamless financial operations and support.
· Perform various other administrative and operational tasks as required to support the finance team.

Skills needed to be successful
· You have an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· You have a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting.
· You are able to work effectively in a team and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
· You demonstrate ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
· You are willing to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
· You have strong proficiency in ERP systems, financial software and Excel.
· You have solid knowledge of standard accounting procedures.
· You are structured, proactive and have strong analytical skills.
Required Experience & Education
· Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance
· 2 years of general accounting experience
· Proficient in tax and accounting research
· Fluent in Dutch, a very good command of English, and knowledge of French or Spanish as an advantage
Preferred Experience & Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· Experience in the Software industry
