Professional Services Consultant Lead - Solution Architects

Role Overview
As the Professional Services Consultant Lead - Solution Architects, you will oversee the Solutions Architecture domain, drive technical excellence, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet customer and business needs. This role specifically focuses on Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), ensuring robust architecture and integration strategies that support laboratory operations and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor the Solutions Architect team, promoting skill development and consistent delivery standards.
Manage team resources, workload balancing, performance reviews, and recruitment.
Coordinate training and ensure standardised deployment practices.
Authorise timesheets, leave, and expenses.
Solution Design & Delivery
Analyse client workflows and design tailored solutions aligned with Clinisys product capabilities.
Oversee solution build, testing, validation, and transition to service.
Maintain quality assurance throughout the deployment lifecycle.
Collaborate with the Product team to align solutions with roadmap and future enhancements.
Customer Engagement & Consulting
Serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance and support.
Deliver training, demos, and presentations to clients and internal teams.
Promote long-term customer relationships and support strategic growth initiatives.
Domain Oversight
Coordinate with the Principal Solution Architect in managing the MasterBuild.
Lead domain-level reviews of product enhancements, defects, and specifications.
Contribute to delivery methodology improvements (templates, CAB process, workflows).
Support service escalations, product support, and user groups.
Performance & Strategy
Drive team KPIs including utilisation, project delivery metrics, and resource efficiency.

Stay informed on industry regulations, technologies, and best practices.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven experience leading technical teams.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinking with the ability to influence across projects and departments.
Deep understanding of Clinisys product suite (5+ years desirable).
Experience in healthcare integration (HL7, FHIR), cloud platforms (Azure), and resilient infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with:
Web services
Oracle scripting
Business Objects (queries and data modelling)
Healthcare messaging and analyser data managers
Desirable
Experience in UK/Ireland health sectors.
Background in project management environments.
Commercial awareness of project accounting and solution sales.
Education & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Onboarding
As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend / travel to the office on their first day of employment. This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including the identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures.
