Solution Specialist (ICE)

Job Summary:
This is a key customer facing role requiring interaction with individuals from multiple and diverse disciplines to provide expertise and guidance around the configuration and use of the Clinisys products. This individual will be required to function on an individual level and as part of a deployment team and will be required to maintain high levels of motivation and focus in both scenarios.
Subordinate Titles: Professional Service Consultants/Integration Engineers (Domain specific)
Responsibilities:
• Travels to client sites to install and configure Clinisys software products following department procedures and guidelines
• To understand our Customers’ workflows, advise and assist with Clinisys products and configuration to facilitate these needs.
• Identify and pursue commercial opportunities within client engagements, including upselling and cross-selling relevant Clinisys solutions and services.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on how Clinisys products can address broader business challenges and deliver measurable value.
• Demonstrate flexibility to meet challenging and unpredictable work demands, this will include short bursts of intense periods of work to support challenging delivery timescales or go-live dates
• Competent to work independently to resolve project issues and is competent to determine when escalation to management is required
• Collaborate with the sales and account management teams to scope, price, and propose additional services or solutions based on client needs and business objectives.
• To be instrumental in the functional development of the Clinisys Product
• The Solution Specialist will use and be an advocate for Clinisys best practice processes and documentation to ensure solution delivery is achieved in a reproducible manner to a high standard
• In addition to using existing processes the Solution Specialist will be involved the continuous improvement across the relevant domain to support improvement of best practice through the continual evolution and review of Delivery methodologies and procedures.
• Provide structured feedback within Lessons Learnt workshop(s) to improve solution design and simplification, standardisation, repeatability with an aim to reduce delivery timescales
• Collaborates with and mentors other Professional Services Consultants to expand own and others depth & breadth of Clinisys product knowledge.
• Deputise for the Professional Consultant team lead as necessary
Line Management:
• Set clear commercial performance objectives for direct reports, aligned with business development and revenue growth targets.
• Proactively manage individual and team performance to consistently meet utilisation targets and sustain optimal performance by ensuring appropriate time allocation on projects while minimising non-productive periods. Take prompt remedial action to address any under performance
• Foster a culture of commercial awareness and client value creation within the team, encouraging proactive identification of up sell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Monitor and review the team’s commercial consultancy activities, providing feedback and implementing development plans to enhance commercial acumen.
• Collaborate with sales, account management, and leadership to ensure the team’s consultancy approach aligns with organisational commercial strategy.
• Ensure all line reports understand and adhere to commercial best practices, compliance requirements, and company policies in all client-facing activities.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous experience in a healthcare and/or IT/software environment
• Problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
• Experience working in a consulting or implementation environment preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare specialty workflow(s) preferred
Other Requirements
• Ability to travel throughout the UK and where appropriate, abroad.
• Driving license.

• Demonstrated experience working with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, such as implementing AI-driven solutions, integrating machine learning models, or leveraging AI tools to enhance diagnostic or operational workflows, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and their application in healthcare or laboratory informatics will be considered an advantage.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience providing the appropriate skills and knowledge set may be substituted and will be considered accordingly.
Artificial Intelligence
This role requires a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and the ability to leverage them to improve processes and outcomes. A core understanding of AI concepts is required and must be able to demonstrate the use of AI tools in a professional setting.
Onboarding
As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend / travel to the office on their first day of employment. This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including the identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures.
