System Engineer - German Speaker

Role Description
The Systems Engineer is responsible for setting up Clinisys application environments and their migrations. They are an expert in their field of expertise and are the customer’s single point of contact during the intervention. In an increasingly data-driven and AI-enabled environment, the Systems Engineer also contributes to the deployment, operation, and reliability of platforms that leverage advanced analytics and AI-driven capabilities within Clinisys solutions.
Responsibilities
Follow the instructions of your manager and the project manager in the context of a new deployment.
Inform the project manager of recommendations and potential technical risks, including those related to performance, data quality, or AI-enabled components.
Prepare interventions and associated technical documentation.
Ensure that the CRM tool contains the necessary product licenses in the project and generate the key license file prior to on-site or remote installation.
Carry out assigned project tasks according to the schedule defined by the project manager, respecting estimates and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Act as the technical owner of assigned tasks, including environments hosting advanced analytics or AI-enabled services.
Support and operate application components that may include AI-driven features such as intelligent workflow optimization, decision support, or data analytics.
Customer training on-site or remotely, including explanations of AI-assisted functionalities where relevant.
Draft intervention reports for each on-site or remote intervention and transmit them to administrative services.
Communicate outcomes and key information to the project manager after each intervention.
Immediately alert the project manager or management to issues encountered, including data integrity, performance, or model-related concerns.
Ensure that project task progress, time tracking, and intervention reporting are accurately maintained in the CRM tool.
Establish and maintain a strong customer relationship with a clear service-oriented mindset.
Attend internal and customer-led meetings, with the project manager when necessary.
Participate in the drafting and maintenance of technical documentation, including documentation related to AI-enabled system behaviour and limitations.
Propose product and service improvements, including opportunities for automation, intelligent monitoring, or AI-driven optimization, to improve delivery time and product quality.
Contribute to team spirit and actively promote a customer-oriented approach.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Core Technical Skills Knowledge and use of Linux (including vi).
Knowledge, use, and administration of Windows Server.
Knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
Knowledge of PROGRESS database is a plus. Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).
Knowledge of healthcare and laboratory standards and protocols (HL7, Hprim, ASTM).
Network skills and understanding of file transfer and sharing mechanisms (Samba, CIFS, sFTP, NFS).
Ability to synthesize information and produce clear technical documentation using MS Office tools.
Good level of English and Fluent German.
Knowledge of the analytical laboratory environment and related vocabulary is a plus.
AI & Data-Oriented Competencies
General understanding of AI and machine learning concepts (e.g. predictive models, rule-based systems, intelligent automation) as applied to healthcare and diagnostic workflows.
Awareness of data quality, data integrity, and data governance principles, especially in regulated healthcare environments.
Ability to support and operate systems integrating AI-enabled components, including monitoring, performance validation, and incident analysis.
Familiarity with AI-assisted observability tools (log analysis, anomaly detection, performance monitoring) is a plus.
Understanding of ethical, regulatory, and security considerations related to AI in healthcare (explainability, traceability, privacy).
Interest in automation and intelligent tooling to improve deployment, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
Ability to collaborate effectively with data, product, and R&D teams on AI-related topics, acting as a technical bridge with customers.

Onboarding
As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend / travel to the office on their first day of employment.
