Purpose:
The Senior Business Analyst serves as a strategic finance partner to the Global Development and Platform Engineering organizations, delivering advanced financial and operational insights that inform investment decisions, forecasting accuracy, and cost optimization. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), this role owns global reporting and analysis for cloud operations and engineering cost structures, supports quarterly and long‑range forecasting, and delivers executive‑ready insights through Power BI reporting and dashboards. Acting as a key liaison between Global Engineering and Finance, the Senior Business Analyst ensures alignment between technical execution and enterprise financial objectives. This role goes beyond traditional reporting, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and efficiency levers that shape strategic and operational outcomes.
Impact:
Lead high‑complexity analytical initiatives across financial operations, forecasting, cloud and engineering spend analysis, order‑to‑cash optimization, and multi‑team process redesign.
Independently scope, plan, and execute advanced analytical projects with significant influence on business decisions, operating models, and investment priorities.
Provide data‑driven insights to the CTO and SVP of Software Development that inform policy decisions, efficiency programs, and automation strategies.
Drive measurable improvements in forecast accuracy, cost efficiency, operational timeliness, data quality, and cross‑functional alignment at a global scale.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Serve as a primary finance partner to Cloud Operations and Software Development teams, aligning spend targets, capacity planning, and performance metrics with financial plans.
Collaborate closely with global Engineering, Platform, and Finance leadership to improve reporting consistency, forecasting discipline, and decision‑making transparency.
Lead and contribute to ad‑hoc analyses and strategic initiatives that enhance development efficiency, cloud economics, and operational insight across the organization.
Process Improvement & Data Integrity:
Own the continuous optimization of global reporting and forecasting processes to improve visibility into cloud operations and software development performance.
Establish and enforce best practices for data accuracy, governance, and validation across NetSuite and Power BI environments.
Partner with Finance Systems, Data, and Engineering teams to adopt new tools, methodologies, and automation approaches that enable scalable growth

Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies, cost management, revenue dynamics, and financial planning principles.

Problem‑Solving Skills: Diagnose issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement sustainable, scalable solutions.
Stakeholder & People Skills: Build trusted partnerships with Finance, Engineering, and executive stakeholders.
Technical & Analytics Expertise:
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard optimization.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex models, pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data visualization.
Experience working with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar ERP/CRM systems.
Familiarity with Azure and AWS cost and operational dashboards.
AI‑Enabled Analytics & Automation:
Design, build, or oversee AI‑enhanced operational intelligence solutions, such as predictive cost models, anomaly detection, and automated scenario simulations.
Define governance, quality, and validation standards for the responsible and auditable use of AI in financial and operational analytics.
Train and mentor colleagues on AI‑assisted analysis, prompt engineering, and automation techniques.
Partner with technical teams to embed AI/ML insights directly into operational workflows (e.g., alerts, automated variance explanations, predictive routing).
Required Experience & Education:
6+ years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, financial analysis, or operational finance roles with increasing scope and complexity.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience working with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce).
Advanced proficiency in Power BI (or comparable data visualization tools) and Excel.
Preferred Experience & Education:
Experience in a SaaS, healthcare software, or technology‑enabled services environment.
Master’s degree in management information systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams.
Working knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages.
Background in reporting automation, forecasting optimization, and analytics process improvement.

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the $75,300 - $100,000 annual base salary range. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the exact starting pay may be above or below this range.
