Role Description:
This industrial placement intern role provides entry-level, structured experiences within the Global Channels function of CLS Healthcare. The role focuses on supporting day-to-day activities, basic analysis, information gathering and documentation that contribute to channel partner evaluation and activation. The Sales & Product CLS Intern will complete defined tasks that support Sales and Product colleagues, gain exposure to how global channel partnerships operate in a regulated healthcare environment, and develop practical workplace skills aligned to Clinisys’ AI-enabled ways of working. There may be limited international travel required to support learning and exposure to global teams or partners.
Responsibilities:
Carry out structured research and data gathering to support channel and referral partner activity.
Assist with preparing basic summaries, briefing notes and trackers for internal use.
Support routine administrative and preparatory tasks that contribute to partner evaluation and opportunity reviews.
Maintain organised records, templates and documentation in line with guidance from the team.
Capture feedback and information from internal discussions and provided materials, escalating key points to the wider team.
Assist in organising market, customer or partner information into agreed formats.
Supports simple comparisons, lists or overviews using guidance and templates provided.
Help translate scientific or healthcare-related information into clear notes for internal stakeholders.
Use approved digital and AI-enabled tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) to support research, note-taking and documentation.
Follow established processes, quality standards and data protection requirements, especially in regulated contexts.
Build understanding of how Sales, Product and Global Channels teams collaborate within Clinisys.
Work closely with Managing Director Global Channels and Distributors in their respective Markets to assist in Local CLS Healthcare Market fit vs Features currently being developed by Product Team
Offer GAP analysis and recommendations based on findings
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to follow guidance, manage routine tasks reliably and meet deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capability.
Interest in healthcare, laboratory environments, technology, data, or applied science.
Required Experience & Education:
Enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or related discipline at the University of Exeter with an approved placement year.
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Desirable Experience:
Exposure to regulated environments, quality culture concepts, or laboratory/clinical settings.
This role requires a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and the ability to leverage them to improve processes and outcomes. A core understanding of AI concepts is required and must be able to demonstrate the use of AI tools in a professional setting.
Onboarding
As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend / travel to the office on their first day of employment. This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including the identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures.
