Professional Services Consultant - ICE

Role Description:
To implement the Clinisys ICE Application and associated modules into healthcare organisations and community care as directed by the Project Manager to satisfy customer and business requirements
To act in a consultative role with the customer in configuring the Clinisys ICE Application to enhance the workflow of order communications, requesting, and results reporting
To lead on interfacing activities relevant to ICE, working alongside the customer
To be an instrumental element in the functional development of the Clinisys ICE Product
To keep abreast of ongoing and future healthcare workflows, regulations, and technologies relevant to order communications and pathology requesting
To actively advocate, initiate, and implement quality improvement measures/projects in conjunction with Delivery leadership
Where applicable, to carry out project-based activity as directed to satisfy customer and business requirements
Responsibilities:
To comply with Clinisys codes of conduct and guidelines
To understand, comply, and develop with customer and Clinisys procedures, working practices, and directives in a timely manner
To understand customer workflows and advise and assist with ICE product configuration to facilitate these needs
To map, configure, troubleshoot, and connect ICE workflows and interfaces to relevant systems including middleware and Winpath LIMS
To be fully conversant with the functionality of the product of your discipline (ICE)
To be conversant with the core functionality of all products
Assist Project Manager with implementation activities, including time management, resource planning, and working with customer representatives
Use AI‑enabled tools to support project delivery activities, including task planning, time management, status reporting, customer workshops, and preparation of summaries
Apply and advocate responsible AI usage in delivery and customer engagements, aligned with Clinisys governance and data protection standards
Consistently meet and sustain performance against utilisation targets
Comprehend customer requirements as specified in the Project Initiation Document (PID)
Make recommendations based on customer feedback regarding ICE software changes and enhancements
Deliver relevant training courses for key users, as required
Attend team meetings and training courses
Be responsive to reasonable requests from line manager or project managers
Contribute to and support team members and build knowledge base
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Skills needed to be successful
Previous 2-5 years Ordercomms experience
Equivalent standing or experience in sectors such as life sciences, public health, or clinical systems supporting order communications
Ability to travel throughout the UK and where appropriate abroad
Driving licence
Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and ability to leverage them in delivery
Strong motivational skills and ability to deliver tasks in difficult circumstances
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
High levels of commitment and ability to take action when necessary
Ability and willingness to work independently
Strong customer service skills
Ability to create and deliver executive-level summaries and presentations
IT knowledge including:
HL7
Integration products (e.g. Rhapsody)
Experience with XML or scripting (desirable)
Microsoft SQL skills
Awareness of interfacing between ICE, LIMS, and other clinical systems
Required Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree
Experience within an IT/software provider organisation or implementation environment
Experience working with or supporting clinical systems such as ICE, LIMS, or similar healthcare applications is desirable
Moderate experience in a project management environment is desirable
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be substituted
This role requires a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and the ability to leverage them to improve processes and outcomes. A core understanding of AI concepts is required and must be able to demonstrate the use of AI tools in a professional setting.
Onboarding
As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend / travel to the office on their first day of employment. This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including the identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures.
