Job Summary
We are looking for a Professional Services Consultant to support the implementation and optimisation of Clinisys laboratory software within Blood Transfusion services.
Working with NHS and private laboratory customers, you will help deliver and configure LIMS/LIS solutions that support Blood Transfusion workflows, compliance and patient safety.
This role requires UK travel (approximately 20%) for customer meetings, training and go-live activities.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and configure Clinisys solutions within Blood Transfusion services.
Analyse laboratory workflows and translate requirements into system configurations.
Support blood component management, inventory control, blood tracking and traceability workflows.
Deliver user training and support customer adoption.
Advise customers on best practice use of Clinisys solutions.
Contribute to product enhancements through customer feedback.
Work with project teams to deliver successful implementations.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Biomedical Scientist (BMS) or equivalent laboratory professional.
Experience working within a Blood Transfusion laboratory (minimum 1 year).
Recent /Current experience using WinPath.
Knowledge of Blood Transfusion workflows, including:
Blood grouping and antibody screening
Crossmatching
Blood component management
Blood tracking and traceability
Understanding of Blood Transfusion quality and accreditation requirements.
Experience with laboratory informatics systems (LIMS/LIS).
Ability to travel throughout the UK (approximately 20% travel).
Full driving licence.
Desirable Requirements
Current or recent experience in a WinPath Blood Transfusion laboratory.
Additional experience in Haematology.
Experience supporting LIMS/LIS implementation or optimisation projects.
Knowledge of WinPath configuration menus and Rules base.
Knowledge of analyser interfaces and laboratory integrations.
Exposure to HL7, Rhapsody, XML and/or Java scripting.
Experience working in a project delivery environment.
Experience using AI tools to support process improvement.
This role requires a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and the ability to leverage them to improve processes and outcomes. A core understanding of AI concepts is required and must be able to demonstrate the use of AI tools in a professional setting.
Onboarding
As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend / travel to the office on their first day of employment. This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including the identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures.
