UX Designer
Position Summary:
As a UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our software products to create exceptional user experiences. Your focus will be on understanding user needs, partnering with Product Management and Development to execute on goals, and applying your user experience and interaction design expertise to ensure that interactions with our software are intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable.
To be successful in this role, you need to be an analytical and creative designer with a passion for solving complex problems through user-centered design and critical thinking. You will help improve existing software experiences while contributing to the vision for future product experiences across the Clinisys portfolio. You will apply systems thinking, user-centered design methodologies, and a critical eye to simplify workflows and improve usability in complex, information-rich healthcare software environments. This role requires close collaboration with your fellow User Experience Design teammates, Product Managers, Developers, Architects, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Essential Functions:
Design end-to-end user experiences, including workflows, initial designs, user flows, information architecture, and interactive prototypes.
Translate business requirements, user needs, and technical constraints into intuitive and scalable design solutions.
Understand and document holistic user experiences through user journeys, process flows, site maps, service blueprints, and experience maps.
Assist with user research, planning and conducting research activities, including interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry, and feedback sessions when applicable.
Collaborate closely with Product Management, Development, and Architecture teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Participate in design reviews and workshops to gather requirements, align stakeholders, and validate solutions.
Create detailed interaction specifications and design documentation to support development implementation.
Ensure designs align with established design systems, accessibility standards, and usability best practices.
Apply knowledge of industry workflows, personas, and customer needs to create meaningful experiences that support product strategy and roadmap objectives.
Advocate for user-centered design principles and drive customer-focused decision making across project teams.
Contribute to UX process improvements, design standards, and best practices across the organization.
Leverage AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to improve design workflows, accelerate ideation, and enhance product experiences where appropriate.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX, AI, accessibility, and healthcare software.
Work efficiently and independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.

Skills Needed to Be Successful:
Proficient with Figma and modern UX design tools.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, information architecture, and usability best practices.
Experience creating wireframes, user flows, journey maps, prototypes, and design specifications.
Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
Ability to comprehend complex software systems, workflows, and user needs and translate them into simple, intuitive experiences.
Experience balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints when making design decisions.
Have experience and a solid understanding of AI technologies, including how AI can be leveraged within software products and how AI tools can enhance the User Experience Design process and workflow.

Required Experience & Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Cognitive Psychology, or a related discipline; or equivalent relevant work experience.
4+ years of experience designing user experiences for commercial software products.
Experience working within Agile software development environments.
Experience collaborating with Product Management and Engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Experience conducting or partnering on user research and usability testing activities.
Strong portfolio demonstrating interaction design, workflow design, problem-solving, and user-centered design thinking.
Experience creating designs and prototypes using Figma or similar UX design tools.
Preferred Experience & Education:
Experience designing healthcare, laboratory, scientific, diagnostics, or regulated software products.
Experience working with enterprise software and complex workflows.
Experience contributing to or working within established Design Systems.
Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Understanding of AI-assisted user experiences and emerging AI interaction patterns.
Experience facilitating design workshops and stakeholder collaboration sessions.
Nice to Have:
Experience with no-code or low-code application development platforms (such as Decisions)
Ability to rapidly prototype concepts using no-code tools to validate workflows, experiences, and business concepts.
Familiarity with agentic AI, conversational interfaces, and AI-powered product experiences.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and component-based design systems.

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is generally within the range of $85,000 to $115,000 for annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed remotely or in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds with assistance as part of office routine

Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours
Exposure to hazardous materials or various weather conditions
Travel to client sites that can pose risk associated with healthcare organization
