Project Manager
Purpose
As a Project Manager, you will collaborate with external clients to create project plans, manage project deliverables, manage client expectations, develop and manage project documentation, and report project status. A key focus will be on providing a high-quality implementation and being accountable for successfully managing all aspects of client engagements. The Project Manager also works with development, product management, application engineers, and sales to plan, control, and direct service delivery projects. The Project Manager regularly exercises discretion and judgment related to matters of significance while performing the duties and responsibilities of the job.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the planning, organizing, and managing of assigned projects with full accountability for meeting all project deadlines.
- Proactively sets and manages expectations with internal and external stakeholders regarding project scope, deliverables, timelines, status reporting, and issues and risks.
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of effective communication with project teams, external project stakeholders, and internal and external leadership.
- Effectively utilizes communication to influence positive project outcomes.
- Perform reviews of project work schedules, quarterly forecasts, and project teams to ensure that internal and external needs are met.
- Utilizes knowledge of PMI and Clinisys established project management processes and methodology to drive projects on time, on budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure quality deliverables are met, and client handoffs are seamless.
- Analyzes internal processes and fosters an environment of continual process improvement.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills needed to be successful
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows, MS Office, and standard office equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence positive outcomes with internal and external constituents to drive progress on implementation engagements.
- Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to understand and solve problems, identify improvement opportunities, and create effective action plans during the performance of assigned tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work concurrently on multiple projects in a matrix setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to all levels of leadership.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to prioritize one’s own workload, work independently and autonomously, work with a project team (2-6 players), in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
- Solid knowledge of laboratory workflows, project management methods, practices, tools, and techniques.
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Three years of experience in project management, managing software implementations, and experience with direct client engagements
- Three years experience partnering with crucial client project stakeholders at the director level or above.
- PMP or PRINCE2 Certification or ability to obtain certification within two years of employment.
Preferred Experience & Education
- Previous experience in hospital or environmental laboratories
- LIMS implementation project management experience

Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a standard or remote office setting with minimal health or safety hazards exposure—prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Up to 25% travel may be required.
- Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours; (if applicable, use this)
- Travel to client sites that can pose a risk.
- It may be required to follow customer location health and safety requirements.

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally between $75,300 and $101,300 in annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the exact starting pay may be above or below this range.
