Requirements Analyst III--Healthcare Clients
Purpose
As a Requirements Analyst III (preferably based in Detroit MI), you will utilize your experience in working with a dynamic and multi-functional Agile development team to build LIS software for laboratories and hospitals. You will be working closely with key development partner client site(s) and product management to develop user requirements for healthcare software products that support efficient laboratory workflows and best practices. You will help build the vision of the product to meet customer needs, strategic direction, expected delivery dates, and exceptional quality standards.
Essential Functions
- Develop, manage and coordinate quarterly updates on client development partnership goals and execution plan
- Serve as Clinisys subject matter expert on client workflows and use of Clinisys products
- Responsible for the development of functional requirements based on user needs, strategic direction and project scope
- Demonstrate a deep knowledge across the product line and industry
- Maintains and leverages business contacts and relationships
- Analyzes the potential impact areas within the system while drafting new feature requirements
- Assesses business value of work and suggests improvements that make the application better for end user
- Researches and utilizes industry, domain, and technology knowledge and trends to improve overall quality of deliverables
- Iterate with relevant laboratory staff and Clinisys UX team on user interface and feature designs
- Coordinate and prioritize all feature work with product management leads and product owners for inclusion in software roadmap and releases
- Assist account management team in maximizing client satisfaction with product solutions
- Provides leadership and guidance for team including setting and executing specific strategies including coaching and mentoring of team members
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- 4 years’ experience with software development life cycle, testing methodologies, quality control, and quality assurance
- 4 years’ experience in a software engineering environment
- 4 years’ experience communicating with clinical and technical experts
- 2 years' experience in clinical laboratory environment resulting in knowledge of multiple disciplines such as clinical pathology, anatomic pathology, molecular, genetics, etc.
Preferred Experience & Education
- 2 years’ experience with medical devices
- 2 years’ experience with healthcare/clinical information systems
- 2 years’ experience designing commercial software
- Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies training and/or certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)
- Detroit MI based

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is generally within the range of $80,000 to $118,000 for annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Work may also be performed in client offices or laboratories where specific safety protocols will be followed. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds with assistance as part of office routine.
- Up to 25% travel may be required
- Travel to client sites may require adherence to client's regulations, policies, and security measures.
