Interface Engineer (Remote)
Purpose
The Interface Engineer implements and deploys technically complex software solutions in clients’ SaaS environments. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining healthcare interfaces using various methods and ensuring the successful implementation of interface solutions while following best practices and efficient processes.

Essential Functions
• Lead and execute interface projects, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Install and configure interface solutions in a SaaS environment, ensuring that projects are properly implemented per Clinisys' best practices.
• Consults with clients and external data source/destination vendors to determine interface requirements
• Work with clients and Clinisys Development to complete necessary specifications and ensure that projects stay within scope.
• Analyzes clients’ business rules and effectively communicates them to development, product management, documentation, support, and other individuals or teams
• Analyze and understand urgent or critical problems, escalating to peers and/or management, as necessary.
• Analyzes technical issues and develops creative solutions that minimize risk
• Perform testing on implementations and other solutions developed.
• Organizes and prioritizes project tasks to ensure timely completion of projects assigned.
• Research relevant client issues and document all findings when implementing solutions.
• Establish all technical project requirements, maintain effective professional relationships with all clients, and organize all project materials.
• Prepares and provides product demonstrations and training for clients
• Guide the client in decision-making to achieve maximum efficiency using Clinisys software solutions.
• Adherence to Clinisys Security policy and HIPAA rules for safeguarding personal health information as applicable.
• Maintain a high commitment to superior customer satisfaction throughout the entire project.
• Completes other projects as assigned.
• The person in this role may be asked to work additional hours to support off-hours work lives.
Skills
• Strong background in HL7, SQL, (TSQL – SQL Server) SSRS, XML, XSLT, XSD, FHIR, JSON, JavaScript, Scripting Languages
• Ability to learn and adapt new implementation techniques quickly and put them into action.
• Working knowledge of an Interface Engine. (Rhapsody, Mirth, Cloverleaf, etc.), especially in SaaS environments.
• Experience with connectivity methods (MLLP Sockets, SFTP, File Sharing, VPN.)
• Proven ability to analyze and solve complex problems in interface implementations.
• Ability to read and modify programming code.
• Able to manage time, prioritize tasks, estimate how much time is needed to complete own tasks, and deliver tasks on time.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills: the ability to analyze and interpret data quickly and efficiently to resolve issues and/or design solutions.
• Ability to proficiently manage numerous priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Support software implementation project plan, tracking hours, and closure of project line per Clinisys instructions.
• Experience with gathering requirements and transforming them into specifications
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Analyze and document interface specifications and implementation details per Clinisys documentation requirements.
• Domain experience in fields related to healthcare is a plus, such as medical informatics, laboratory experience, and health sciences or public health.
Required Experience & Education
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Significant experience with an interface engine may be a substitute for a degree.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in interface engineering implementation and maintenance in SaaS settings.
• Experience with software programming
• Experience in the healthcare, laboratory, and/or scientific industry is highly desirable.
• Strong background in HL7, SQL, (TSQL – SQL Server) SSRS, XML, XSLT, XSD, FHIR, JSON, JavaScript, Scripting Languages
• Familiar with Databases and IT/Networks. IIS, .NET
• Project Management skills

Physical Requirements
• Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds with assistance as part of the office routine.
• Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours; (if applicable, use this).

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $84,400 - $114,400 annual base salary. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
