People Operations Specialist

What You’ll Do
Own the employee lifecycle end-to-end and execute onboarding, job changes, leave management, and offboarding with precision and consistency
Drive compliance excellence by ensuring adherence to U.S. employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA) and internal policies
Partner with Finance to deliver accurate and timely payroll inputs, resolving discrepancies proactively
Maintain and optimize HR data in HiBob, our HRIS, to ensure records are complete, audit-ready, and compliant with all regulatory requirements
Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, responding to HR, payroll, and leave-related inquiries with clarity and urgency
Ensure operational discipline by enforcing SOPs, maintaining up-to-date records, and supporting internal and external audits
Enhance employee experience by contributing to performance cycles, engagement surveys, and key HR initiatives
Continuously improve processes and identify inefficiencies, standardize workflows, and implement scalable solutions
Leverage HR technology and AI tools to automate workflows, improve reporting, and drive data-backed insights
Resolve queries efficiently through HR ticketing systems, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery
What You Bring
Hands-on experience in HR operations, people operations, or payroll administration
Solid understanding of U.S. and state employment laws and HR lifecycle processes
Strong working knowledge of HRIS platforms (HiBob preferred) and Microsoft Excel
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information
Interest or experience using AI tools, like Microsoft Copilot, to improve HR processes, reporting, or efficiency
A mindset focused on continuous improvement, accuracy, and employee experience
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
2+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or payroll roles
Experience supporting employees and stakeholders in both in-person and virtual environments

Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Some travel may be required.
Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs.; use of fingers; walking/standing 2-6 hours
Exposure to hazardous materials or various weather conditions
Travel to client sites that can pose risk associated with healthcare organization
May be required to follow customer location health and safety requirements

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is generally within the range of $50,000 - $70,000 for annual base salary. This position is also eligible for commission. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
